Abstract: This project presents a holistic solution leveraging the capabilities of the Internet of Things (IoT) for precise monitoring and management in agriculture. The system integrates a diverse array of sensors to capture essential data on soil moisture, humidity, temperature, light intensity, and rainfall. These sensors are strategically placed across the agricultural landscape to provide a holistic view of environmental conditions. The project's core functionality revolves around real-time data collection and analysis. As sensors continuously gather data, a central control unit processes this information and applies predefined thresholds to detect any deviations from optimal conditions. When such deviations occur, the system promptly triggers SMS alerts to notify farmers and stakeholders, allowing for immediate intervention. Moreover, a user-friendly web application complements the system, providing a robust platform for remote monitoring, data visualization, and customization of alert thresholds. This integrated approach empowers farmers with actionable insights, fostering more efficient resource allocation, precise irrigation management, and proactive decision-making in agriculture while ultimately contributing to enhanced crop yields and sustainability.
Keywords: Internet of Things, soil moisture, humidity, temperature, light intensity, and rainfall, real-time data collection, agricultural monitoring and management.
