Vulvo Vaginal Atrophy (VVA), impacting approximately fifty percentage of postmenopausal females, arises from diminished estrogen concentrations, precipitating a multitude of undesirable and distressing symptoms. An ideal therapy should balance benefits, risks, patient adherence, and cost-effectiveness, influencing its adoption among symptomatic women. This research article emphasizes on formulation of an optimised product for the treatment of this prevalent disease. The suitable API falling in BCS class two which is a potent hormonal molecule was selected for the formulation. The API was investigated for its preformulation studies and suitable excipients were selected based on various literature studies so as to prolong the release of the dosage form in accordance to the patient compliance. Process optimisation was done beginning with direct compression followed by wet granulation, non aqueous granulation leading to the novel technique of top spray technology with drug suspension preparation in fluidized bed processor. Succeeding the process optimisation, formula optimisation was carried out and an optimized product with desirable evaluative results were obtained. Evaluation parameters such as pre compression and post compression parameters are discussed in this research article.
