Abstract: Nowdays, in the medicine industry Nanotechnology plays a major role. In nanosuspension particle size refer to 1-1000 nm. Nanosuspension is also used for targeted drug delivery. Nanosuspension is a part of Nanotechnology. Nanotechnology is a technique that helps the poor soluble drug to make a formulation. Mostly useful for the newly developed drug which are having low solubility and also show poor bioavailability. It is prove that decreasing particle size increase the drug bioavailability, solubility and dissolution. There are more advantages of Nanotechnology over conventional techniques. Formulation of BCS II drug into the conventional dosage form is a challenge that is faced by the pharmaceutical scientist. Nanosuspension is delivered through the various routes like topical, oral, parenteral and ocular. Preparation pf nanosuspension can be done by top down and bottom-up approaches such as solvent evaporation, media milling, nanoprecipitation etc. The following review articles focus on the characteristics, application, methods of preparation, advantages and disadvantages.
Keywords: Nanosuspension, Bioavailability, BCS II, Solubility rate, Nanotechnology.
