Abstract: - Solid waste management is the biggest challenge faced by developing and developed countries these days. Everyone is aware of the problem but the solution is unknown. Colleges and educational institutes are known to produce a huge amount of solid waste in the form of waste from canteen items, used stationary, used papers, leaf droppings, pins and stapler and other. The survey was conducted online through the use of questionnaire using Google forms. About 358 respondents from 5 different colleges of Dhar district respondents replied to 15 questions. Out of 358 respondents 56.6 % were males, rest were females. The survey evaluated the knowledge and attitude of these students towards solid waste management. About 16%students had a very high level of knowledge on solid waste management. About 51% student’s attitude was positive regarding solid waste management. There was no significant difference in the attitude of male and female students towards solid waste management.
