| Abstract: | As the digital landscape continues to expand, so do the challenges posed by cybersecurity threats, necessitating heightened public awareness and preparedness. This study delves into the landscape of cybersecurity awareness and response mechanisms within the urban hub of Coimbatore City, India. Employing a mixed-methods approach, including surveys, interviews, and data analysis, the research aims to assess the current level of public awareness regarding cybersecurity threats and examine existing response strategies. By scrutinizing public perceptions, knowledge gaps, and attitudes toward cybersecurity, this study identifies key areas for improvement in educational initiatives and policy interventions. Furthermore, it investigates the efficacy of existing cybersecurity frameworks in Coimbatore City and proposes recommendations for enhancing public engagement and resilience against cyber threats. Ultimately, the findings of this study contribute to the development of tailored strategies to bolster cybersecurity awareness and response mechanisms, fostering a safer digital environment for the residents of Coimbatore City. |
