Abstract: Abstract: BACKGROUND: Stroke survivors often grapple with impaired gait, impacting their daily lives. Robotic-assisted gait rehabilitation presents an innovative approach, offering tailored, repetitive training to enhance motor recovery. This systematic review investigates the efficacy of robotic gait assistance in improving walking speed, balance, and overall mobility in stroke survivors, aiming to inform healthcare strategies and optimize rehabilitation protocols for enhanced recovery outcomes. OBJECTIVE: The objective of the present study is to review effectiveness of Robotic-assisted gait rehabilitation in stroke survivors. MATERIALS AND METHOD: A systematic review was conducted following the centers for PubMed, Google Scholar, Research gate, and medline database using keywords stroke, gait; lower extremity; rehabilitation; robotics . The time frame of the search ranged from 2012 to 2024. RESULT: The literature search resulted in 65 articles of which 54 were selected after the removal of duplicate articles. 41 articles were selected as per the eligibility criteria and 19 articles were excluded for reasons. 20 articles of moderate and high evidential value were included in the qualitative synthesis. CONCLUSION: The results of this systematic review highlight the benefits of RAGT for stroke survivors, as it is just as effective as traditional training in enhancing the gait. Our review of the included studies revealed that the majority of them reported on the high efficacy of robotic gait rehabilitation for stroke victims. To improve gait rehabilitation, robot-assisted devices should be used in stroke patients who have significant functional disabilities. Additionally, it will help the patients' motor function.
