Acne is a prevalent skin condition affecting millions worldwide, characterized by the formation of pimples, blackheads and cysts. It is due to hormonal imbalance, excess sebum production, bacterial colonization, inflammation, clogged pores, genetics, diet and life style changes. Cleansing plays a crucial role in managing acne by removing excess oil, dirt and dead skin cells from the skin surface. Facewash also referred to as facial cleanser, a skin care product designed for cleansing the face. Various researches highlight the potential of herbal formulations in acne treatment. Some herbs used in the treatment of acne are aloe vera, tea tree oil, neem, green tea extract, bel patra leaf extract, lavender oil, turmeric, rosemary, lemon, cinnamon etc. Many herbal ingredients have gained popularity for their potential efficacy and gentle approaches compared to other conventional acne treatment.
