The traditional methods of road construction planning often encounter inefficiencies and delays due to split workflows, and poor communication among stakeholders. Lean construction principles, originating from lean manufacturing, offer a systematic approach to enhance project delivery by optimizing workflows and maximizing value. This paper explores the application of lean construction methodologies to road construction planning, emphasizing techniques. The paper identifies key areas where Lean approaches can be integrated into road construction projects through a comprehensive review of Lean principles, such as value stream mapping, pull planning, and continuous improvement. The findings reveal that adopting lean construction approaches leads to more predictable project outcomes, better resource utilization, and enhanced adaptability to project changes.
