Abstract: The design of sewer system is critical for urban infrastructure, ensuring public health and environmental sustainability. This research focuses on the Paratwada district in Amravati, a newly developing area, using Bentley’s SewerGEMS software. The study aims to calculate sewage flow accurately, design an efficient sewerage system, and ensure compliance with health and environmental standards. Key parameters such as velocity, cover, slope, and tractive force are maintained within CPHEEO manual limits, emphasizing a gravity-operated network. The design optimizes these parameters to accommodate future population growth, ensuring the network's effectiveness over time. The use of SewerGEMS software allows for intelligent selection of conduit diameters and pipe materials, enhancing clarity through color-coded results. This research highlights the significant implications for planning and developing sewer systems in emerging areas. By leveraging advanced software, engineers can create efficient, reliable networks that meet regulatory standards and future needs. The study emphasizes the importance of advanced modelling tools in infrastructure planning to improve system performance and sustainability. Future research directions include integrating wastewater recycling processes, optimizing environmental benefits, and conducting long-term performance evaluations. This work contributes to urban infrastructure design and provides practical solutions for modern sewer system challenges.
