| Abstract: | Post streptococcal glomerulonephritis affects kidney marked by immunological inflammation in tiny structures in kidney that filter out waste from blood and urine called as glomeruli. It arise as a complication of post infection with beta hemolytic streptococci, however it can also develop via infections due to staphylococcus aureus & Mycoplasma pneumonia (1). Low socio economic countries have higher prevalence of PSGN with greater than 95% cases (2). It is most prevalent in children of age 3 to 12 years. It commonly occurs post pharyngitis. PSGN usually get resolved with appropriate treatment and has minimal long term complications |
