| Abstract: | Plants, including stems, leaves, fruits, roots, and barks, are useful in various medicine systems. Around 50% of people worldwide receive their primary treatment from traditional practitioners, who supply vital elements of contemporary medicine. A medicinal plant is the any plant which, in one or more of its organs, contains substances that can be useful for therapeutic purposes or which can be precursors for the synthesis of useful drugs.[1] The use of plants as Medicines is as old as human civilization itself and out of about 258,650 species of higher plants reported from the world; more than 10% are used to cure ailing communities of higher plants reported from the world; more than 10% are used to cure ailing communities. [2] Justicia adhatoda plant is an ancient herbal plant globally. Justicia adhatoda used as medicine in many system of medicine as for example Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha and also used as Ethno-medicine at many places. |
