Abstract: This movement in current writing is a reflection of humanity's growing concern over environmental issues and the far-reaching effects of these crises. The rise of climate fiction (cli-fi) has marked a significant shift in modern literature. The purpose of this study is to investigate the emergence of climate fiction as a separate literary genre that combines speculative narrative with pressing ecological problems. This study investigates the ways in which modern authors depict environmental degradation, climate change, and the socio-political ramifications of ecological disasters through the use of narrative tactics, character arcs, and symbolic motifs. The purpose of this study is to investigate how narratives in science fiction engage readers on an emotional and intellectual level, hence developing environmental awareness and advocacy. This is accomplished by evaluating selected works by notable science fiction authors. In addition, the research underlines the role that climate fiction plays in bridging the gap between scientific discourse and public perception, thereby placing literature as a strong instrument for tackling the catastrophe that is occurring on a worldwide scale. The objective of this study is to provide a contribution to a more comprehensive knowledge of the cultural relevance of climate change and its potential to motivate both individual and communal action in the direction of maintaining sustainability.
