| Abstract: | Sustainable Development Goal 8 (SDG 8) emphasizes the creation of decent work and fostering economic growth for all. This study analyses Gujarat's progress towards achieving SDG 8 targets. We examine key indicators related to economic growth, employment opportunities, and working conditions. The analysis compares sub-indicators across various sectors to assess the state's performance in promoting decent work and sustainable economic development. By identifying areas of achievement and shortcomings, the study aims to provide valuable insights for policymakers. It highlights areas where further efforts and strategic interventions are needed to ensure inclusive and sustainable economic growth in Gujarat, aligned with the principles of SDG 8.This analysis tries to cover analysis on as many indicators & sectors possible, recognizing their significance for Gujarat's economy. |
