Traumatic fibroma, also referred to as irritation fibroma, is a benign fibrous connective tissue proliferation commonly found in response to chronic trauma or local irritation. It often manifests as a slow-growing, asymptomatic mass on the oral mucosa. Although it predominantly affects the buccal mucosa, involvement of the gingiva, particularly in the anterior region, is relatively rare. We report a case of a 49-year-old male who presented with a solitary, firm, fibrous overgrowth on the labial gingiva in the anterior maxillary region. The lesion was excised under local anesthesia and histopathologically confirmed as a traumatic fibroma. This case highlights the significance of clinical diagnosis, the need for biopsy in persistent soft tissue lesions, and the importance of removing the underlying cause to prevent recurrence.
