Paper Title:
Integrating FinOps, Cybersecurity, and Cloud Architecture for Securing Digital Enterprise Transformation: A Strategic Framework for Cost Efficiency and Risk Management
The rising trend of moving to cloud computing has placed organizations with opportunities and challenges of being cost-effective and managing cybersecurity risk management. Whereas FinOps has become a cloud financial management field that increases transparency and responsibility in cloud costs, conventional cybersecurity operations are isolated to cost management, which causes inefficiencies and security weaknesses. The proposed integrated framework in this review conceptually defines a FinOps, cybersecurity, and cloud architecture integration to make sure that financial efficiency and security resiliency are both considered in the enterprise digital transformation. The framework allows identifying and preventing threats as well as establishing optimal security investments because it correlates cost anomalies to security telemetry to detect and neutralize threats earlier, prior to the occurrence of loss. Comparative test against the base models proves that the combined model is highly effective in correctly prediction of cost and security risk assessment, in a better way than the traditional silos model. In addition, the paper provides major implications to be adopted by practitioners and policymakers, which include the concept of cross-functional collaboration, cost-sensitive risk management, and automation of governance. The directions of future research are devoted to AI-based security-cost optimization models, security-cost policy-as-code developments, and domain-specific AI framework implementations. The paper acts as a strategic reference to businesses that want to establish secure, cost-efficient, and compliant cloud operations to ensure that, financially, digital transformation efforts are feasible and capable of withstanding cyberattacks.
