| Abstract: | This paper aims to analyze All Summer in a Day by Ray Bradbury from the perpective of stylistic analysis. The story is analysed stylistically by taking into consideration grammatical, lexical and phonological levels. This analysis follows the checklist of linguistic and stylistic categories proposed by Leech( 2007). The paper focuses on adjectives, adverbs, repetition, substitution, parallelism and figures of speech such as metaphor, simile, personification, hyperbole, symbolism, imagery, alliteration, and onomatopoeia. It also discusses elements such as the story’s point of view, characters and allegory for providing a better insight into the story. |
