Abstract: This paper presents the architectural blueprint and technical implementation of a novel, integrated AIPowered Legal Ecosystem designed to address endemic challenges within the Indian judiciary. The system confronts the dual crises of immense judicial backlogs, with over 47 million pending cases , and the profound access-to-justice gap for citizens. The proposed solution is a unified, multicomponent platform, formally specified via UML diagrams, that empowers three key stakeholder groups. For intelligent adjudication, it features a real-time Court Statistics Dashboard, built on a judicial-specific OLAP data warehouse, enabling judges to perform complex data driven analysis. For professional assistance, the system includes a hybrid Learning-to-Rank (LTR) Lawyer Recommendation System and a grounded, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) Legal Chatbot to provide accurate, citable legal information. For citizen empowerment, it provides a Zero FIR Helper module that leverages an NLP narrative extraction pipeline to help citizens file First Information Reports. The architecture is designed as a scalable, resilient microservices framework [10], ensuring component independence. A core contribution is the system’s framework, which integrates AI for transparency and ensures compliance with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act.By unifying these three functionalities, this ecosystem moves beyond fragmented, single-user solutions to create a synergistic data loop, advancing judicial efficiency and democratizing justice.
