Abstract: Abstract In contemporary organizations, leadership effectiveness increasingly depends on emotional competencies in addition to managerial and technical skills. Emotional intelligence refers to the ability to recognize, understand, and regulate emotions in oneself and others. Leaders who possess strong emotional intelligence are better able to manage interpersonal relationships, motivate employees, and foster positive work environments. The present study examines the role of emotional intelligence in business leadership and its impact on leadership effectiveness and employee engagement. The study adopts a quantitative research approach, collecting data through a structured questionnaire from employees working in different organizations. Statistical techniques such as percentage analysis and mean score analysis were used to interpret the data. The findings reveal a significant relationship between emotional intelligence and effective leadership. Leaders with higher emotional intelligence demonstrate improved communication, stronger teamwork, and better conflict resolution skills. The study highlights the importance of integrating emotional intelligence development into leadership training programs in order to improve organizational performance and employee satisfaction.
