Liver cancer, particularly hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), remains a major cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide. Early detection and accurate staging are crucial for improving patient outcomes and guiding therapeutic decisions. Imaging plays a central role in the assessment of liver cancer, not only for diagnosis but also for treatment planning and follow-up. This review outlines the key imaging modalities currently employed in liver cancer evaluation, including ultrasonography, computed tomography (CT), and PET imaging techniques and diagnostic techniques Emerging Techniques in Liver Cancer Imaging Comparison of Traditional Imaging Features, Radiomics, and Deep Learning Their respective strengths, limitations, and future directions are also discussed.
