This paper presents the averaging model of a buck converter derived from the generalized state-space averaging method. The sliding mode control is used to regulate the output voltage of the converter while the output of the solar panel is fed as input to the buck converter and taken into consideration in the model. The results show a good agreement in both transient and steady-state responses. The mathematical model of buck converter with SMC to regulate the output voltage of the system is derived. And the results of simulation are presented.
