| Abstract: | The Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) have been contributing a significant portion of the entrepreneurial endeavors through the business innovations. Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector has grown to be a very active and dynamic area of the Indian economy. By developing entrepreneurial and creating provides employment opportunities at a relatively low capital cost, second only to agriculture, it significantly contributes to the economic and social development of the nation. The present study is based on the distribution of the MSMEs enterprises according to Activity based, gender based, and category wise, and social groups. It also studies the Comparative Distribution of Top 10 States in percentage and Share of Gross Value Added (GVA) of MSME in all India GDP. In the year 2014-15 the GDP share of MSMEs was 29.34% were as in the year 2018-19 the percentage of share of MSME was increased to 30.27%. The total percentage of rural and urban sectors are higher for OBC 49.72%, others contribution was 32.95%. |
