Voting is one of the most important pillars of any democracy. The current system for voting has a very strong base but at the same time, it has a lot of lacking. The most prominent one is the lack of mobility. As voting is a very crucial process and every citizen of any nation or organization is expected to participate in the activity. E-voting is another trending, yet critical, topic related to online services. The blockchain with the smart contracts emerges as a good candidate to use in the development of safer, cheaper, more secure, more transparent, and easier-to-use e-voting systems. Blockchain-enabled e-voting could reduce voter fraud and increase voter access. Eligible voters cast a ballot anonymously using a computer or smartphone. Blockchain-enabled e-voting uses an encrypted key and tamper-proof personal IDs. The voting system built using blockchain is more robust, tamperproof, and cost-effective.
