| Abstract: | The Current studywas carried out to assess the noise level from vehicular traffic in Bhopal cityduring a different portion of the day i.e., morning, afternoon and evening. Thishasbeendeterminedbycollectingthenoiselevelsamples fromdifferentsquaresof Bhopal city.Thesamplinglocations are asfollows: 1 Rani Kamalapati railway station 2.Board office square 3. Bhopal railway station 4. PrabhatSquare 5.Bhopal talkies Square. Thenoiselevelsampleswereanalyzedforvariousparameters ofnoiseduringdifferentportionsofthe dayi.e.morning,afternoon and evening. The different noise descriptors like percentile exceeded sound level (Lx), equivalent continuous sound level (Leq),Trafficnoiseindex (TNI), noisepollutionlevel (NPL)and noise climate (NC) were furtheranalyzed. |
