This work aimed to analyze the effect of different internal corrugated structures of sandwich panels and their orientation on their performance up to the initial yield point. Four different types of sandwich structures were analyzed using finite element method (FEM) analysis through Ansys. These structures included hexagonal, triangular, zic-zac, and rectangular corrugated structures with regular arrangements. The analysis revealed that the sandwich panel with a rectangular internal structure showed higher performance in all parameters compared to the other structures. The findings of this study can be helpful in designing lightweight sandwich structures with improved performance for various applications. In conclusion, the use of FEM analysis proved to be effective in analyzing the performance of sandwich structures up to the initial yield point.
