Ayurveda clarifies the importance of mind, the sense organs as also of the normal physiological functions of the body as the creation of health. Development of the mind in man made him superior to all the living beings. It also acts as a link between the materialistic and spiritual world. In Taraksangraha Manas is defined as the faculty for perception of feelings like Sukha and Dukha. It is also having the qualities like Anutva (subtle) and Ekatva (unitary nature of oneness), due to Anutva quality, it control the all sensory /motor activities. Yoshapsmara is not described in Brihatrayee and Laghutrayee, but similar condition explained in Ayurvedic classics as Apsmara, in which Kashyapa told “Aksmata Ahitahasanamapsmara Kalpate” i.e., sudden and loud laughing produces Apsmara (epilepsy). Whereas Madhavkar explained in Parshishtama, there is a disconnection in between Manas and its psychomotor activities resulting into different irrelevant features.
