| Abstract: | A wide range of tasks falls under the umbrella of supply chain management (SCM), including inventory management, supply/demand planning, warehousing, materials handling, order fulfillment, network design, inbound and outbound transportation management, sourcing and procurement, and packaging. India is a major global center for the textile industry, and the country's growing demand in both home and foreign markets is creating a plethora of new prospects for the sector, particularly in the Coimbatore area of Tamil Nadu. The creation of garments, accessories, and raw materials are all part of the textile industry's lengthy supply chain. In a highly competitive market, supply chain management (SCM) is regarded as a traditional management strategy that helps manufacturers increase product quality, lower costs for both goods and services and accelerate product delivery. They need to focus on processes that acts as barriers to improve the Supply Chain Management performance which includes the origin of the materials, the way the suppliers' products are designed and assembled, storage and transportation of the products, and the need of their customers. This will help them better understand how their respective suppliers and customers run the business. The purpose of this study is to highlight the supply chain management practices and how they impact the district of Coimbatore's textile industry. |
