Abstract: The increasing number of ATM-related security threats, including unauthorized access and fraud, necessitates the implementation of advanced security mechanisms. This paper presents a smart ATM security system that integrates multiple authentication and tracking technologies to enhance security. The proposed system employs an STM32 microcontroller to manage hardware components and ensure real-time processing. A fingerprint sensor is used as the primary authentication method, reducing reliance on traditional PIN-based security, which is vulnerable to theft. Additionally, a GSM module provides remote alert capabilities by sending notifications to the registered user or bank authorities in case of unauthorized access attempts. A GPS module enables real-time location tracking of the ATM to prevent physical theft or relocation. The system also includes an LCD with I2C communication to display transaction status and alerts to the user. By integrating biometric authentication with GSM-based alerts and GPS tracking, this system enhances ATM security, ensuring both user identity verification and real-time threat detection. The proposed solution is compact, cost-effective, and significantly improves the safety of ATM operations.
