In the aviation industry, safety is both a regulatory requirement and a moral imperative. While Safety Management Systems (SMS) provide a structured framework for identifying, managing, and mitigating safety risks, the effectiveness of these systems largely depends on the underlying safety culture within an organization. A positive safety culture encourages open communication, proactive risk management, and continuous improvement essential elements that complement and enhance the functionality of SMS. This synergistic relationship between SMS and safety culture is critical for achieving sustainable safety performance and fostering a resilient aviation environment.
