Abstract: When they reside in rural locations, parents often ask their children to assist them in various tasks, such as working on the farm or in the field. As a result of participating in these activities, children experience a broad variety of feelings, ranging from fear, anxiety, and tension to pride, enjoyment, and a sense of accomplishment. The development of a good emotional life, which involves experiencing feelings of happiness and fulfilment, is critical to the maintenance of mental health, particularly during the early years of puberty. The purpose of this study is to investigate the emotional experiences of children who are employed in agriculture, as well as the ways in which family dynamics such as communication quality, cohesion, and flexibility influence these experiences. Young people between the ages of twelve and thirteen who came from farming homes on a smaller scale took part in the study. Children who came from families that were able to communicate well, keep their link strong, and remain adaptable in the face of shifting conditions were more likely to report feeling joyful while they were helping out on the farm. These children expressed a number of good feelings, including a sense of satisfaction, having deeper links with their parents, and being prepared for the responsibilities of adulthood. Children who came from dysfunctional households, which were marked by poor communication, disengagement, or rigidity, were more likely to experience negative emotional states such as discontentment, unhappiness, and a preference for learning over labour. The significance of the home environment in shaping how youngsters in rural regions emotionally comprehend and cope with their participation in agricultural work is brought to light by these results.
